It’s a Sad Time….

Ok everyone….I’m sure that those of you who love ippity have found out that you can now purchase ippity and unity from the unity website. However, I am no longer going to be an ippity chick 😦 I didn’t have enough business to justify the $75 per month fee. I think in all I had only 4 people that ordered from me in the 2 years that I was an ippity chick.

But on to better things, I am starting a new blog to continue to share my projects. If you wish to still follow along, here is my new site: http://lollipopsandtangerines.wordpress.com

I hope you decide to stick with me and see all of the awesomeness I have in store for you now that I’m not restricted to using only ippity and unity stamps!

It’s that time again!!! It’s an {Ippity} release!

I’m back again–and in a shorter amount of time that the previous gap! School is still taking up a lot of time, but I am making sure I’m squeezing in some scrapping time 🙂

Ok, it’s November 5th, and you all know what that means, right!?! It’s time for an {Ippity} release! I think these releases are so cute!

Here’s the first one:

This one is called “Pain and Pride” and costs $6.

And the second one:

This one is called “Warm Wishes” and costs $18.

Now that I’ve just announced the new release, I’ll give you a little project!

For this little card, I used the {Ippity} stamp set, “Thanks for All Things” ($6). It’s November, and we’ve got Thanksgiving coming up so this is very appropriate for the season!

I’ll be linking up here.  I use all of these link parties and want to thank all of the lovely ladies who work so hard to host them! Make sure you go check them out!

I’ll be back!

I’m So Very Slow…But I Do have a Few Things Done!

Hello, All!! If anyone is reading this! It seems as though it’s been a very long time since I’ve been able to get something made and posted on here! My life has been taken over by lesson plans! Argh!

Since the last time I posted, I’ve had a few things happen to me that are worth mentioning! #1 I’ve gotten my first two paychecks as a teacher! Woo-Hoo!! #2 I got a used 2002 Acura TLS (love it!)  #3 I’ve made it through one evaluation. 5 more to go. #4 My husband and I went to the Biltmore and drove the Blue Ridge Parkway for my fall break. #5 During our drive on the Parkway, the transmission went out of my 2002 Acura TLS. No help from Acura at all on the cost ($4,900). Not to do any brand bashing, but I know where my next car isn’t coming from 😦

In a nutshell, that’s what has happened with me the past little bit. Anything interesting going on for you?

Here is one of the few projects that I did get finished in my spare time (what spare time? lol) :

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I decided to make a little badge…a Believe Badge!

I used a scalloped circle from brown cardstock for the backing and a slightly smaller circle from white cardstock for the inner area.

Here’s a side view. The {ippity} kit I used is called ‘ALL Things are POSSIBLE.’  I colored in the stamps with Copic markers and coloring pencils.

This kit costs $6.00. That’s an incredible price for this many images!

I’ll be linking up! Check out my link parties page. I love all of these sites…so much inspiration!

I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday evening, and hopefully I’ll be back soon!

It’s Been A While!

I’m so sorry it’s taken me so long to get any projects done and posted on here. It’s my first year teaching fashion design (this is the first time for it), and on top of that, we have a new evaluation system here in Tennessee! I think about lesson plans all the time! Enough of that…here’s your project! Hope you enjoy!!

I intended this to be a tag for a birthday gift bag, but you could turn it into a card!

Cloudy With a Chance of Sunshine

Hello, everyone!!! I hope Thursday has gone well for you all. It was my first day of inservice….I was nervous at first, but I am feeling better about it now. It’s definitely a change.  I also had a birthday yesterday. I never knew turning 24 would make me feel so old! It’s been a long day with a lot of new stuff to take in, so I’m just going to do a quick post.

Here’s my project:

I lovely little cloud card for you!

Sorry this is short, but I’ve got to get to bed!

Bright Banners

Happy Monday, everyone! It’s the start of another week, and many of us are going back to school. Including me. I got hired for a Family and Consumer Science teaching position just last week, and we start August 4th with inservice. I also have to go back to school myself 😦 Masters degree here I come. It is my hope that I can continue providing you with projects at the rate that I am at this point in time, but with teaching and going back to school there may be fewer posts so don’t worry, I won’t have forgotten about you! I’ll post as often as I can!

With that said, it’s Monday and time for an {ippity} linky party!

Here is my project for you all:

I was ready to pull out my Basic Grey ‘June Bug’ paper and create! I’d been waiting for just the right idea to come into my head 🙂 I also wanted to include  layers and banners.

Enjoy!!!! Have a GREAT Monday!! I’m off to purchase some teaching supplies and mail a package!

A Little Bit Retro

Hello, everyone! I hope you’ve all had a good Wednesday. It’s still hot here in TN 😦 .

For today’s project, we’re going to go a little bit retro!

As you can see, our retro piece is the car. I did all of the coloring with a q-tip that I touched to the ink pad. Now, I don’t know what possessed me to take on the desert-retro combination, but I think it works.

Patterned Paper: Stampin’ Up!, Ink:  Stampin’ Up!; Color Medium: Copic markers; Stamp sets: {ippity} Authentic Man

Hope you enjoyed my retro/desert card!

A Button of Thanks Card

Hello, everyone! It’s Monday and that means it’s time for another linky party on the {ippity} blog! Hop on over and link  up!

My project for today is a button thank-you card.

I thought this would be a little different from what I normally would have on a thank-you card—a little more 3-D.

Cardstock: Georgia-Pacific, scrap pack; Buttons: Bag-O-Buttons; Color Medium: Copic markers; Stamps: {ippity} (Flowers + Friends = Priceless)

Quote Garden

Hello, everyone! I’m so sorry I haven’t been doing that great of a job keeping new stuff coming on here 😦 I’m a slow scrapper. I will do better.

Anyway, it was so hot here in TN yesterday  (heat index: 104; humidity: through the roof) that I decided to stay in and scrap! There is also a Summer CHA 2011 Online Social going on over at 2peas where you can do chats, challenges, etc. Lots of fun stuff going on! With the humidity being so bad, my adhesives are not wanting to work too well–EEK!!!!! Do any of you have this same problem, or is it just me?

Finally, on to the quote garden! I didn’t know where to get one of the templates for the little flower pot so I made my own. There is a pocket in the back (it’s just the base part of the pot without the rim) to hold the flowers in.  I used popsicle sticks to write the quotes on and used stamps and paper flowers for the florals. To top it off, I added brads or glitter to the center of the flowers and stamped a sentiment on the outside of the pot.

All of the quotes came from either Quoteland.com or from the book The Write Words by Crystal Dawn Perry. I thought this would be a great project for teachers to use for something like a ‘quote of the day’ where they could draw a flower for the quote. You could also change the flowers with the season or holiday! Very versatile in my opinion!

Hope you have a GREAT Thursday! Thanks for stopping in!

Cardstock: Stampin’ Up!, Georgia-Pacific; Flowers: e., packaged brand?; Glitter: Stampendous (Jelly Bean), Inkadinkadoo (Turqouise); Brads: Doodlebug; Stamps: {ippity} Flowers + Friends = Priceless, Unity Stamp Co. May 2011 KOM; Ink: Stampabilities, Stampin’ Up!

More Botanical Paper and {ippity}’s Monday Linky Party

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

At the moment, I’m waiting on my husband to return from Subway with one of their new Barbecue subs. I wonder if it will be good. See, I’m a big barbecue fan, so anything with barbecue catches my attention:). I think the best barbecue I’ve ever had comes from a little trailer/restaurant called Big E’s, which is right down the road from my home. It’s called the barbecue stuffed baked potato–it has cheese sauce, green onions, and sour cream on top. It is soooooooo good, but your house will smell like green onions for several days because they put so many on it. Well, enough of that. My mind’s on food!

Since it’s Monday, remember there is a linky party over at the {ippity} blog! Link up some projects!

Here is my card for today:

Patterned Paper: DCWV (Botanicals), Cardstock: scrap pack; Staple: Fascinator Venice silver; Stamp: {ippity} A Season of Joy, My True Joy; Ink: Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy, Basic Brown, Basic Black; Brads: Queen and Co.; Ribbon: unknown;

The green straw held in place with the staple is ornamental straw that you can buy to go in flower arrangements. I just cut it to the length that I wanted and then stapled it to the card.

Hope you enjoyed it! Have a GREAT rest of the evening!
